Pack the Bus Collaboration

We were able to serve over 2500 children in the NAFCS system in 2017.

Thank you for supporting our community’s children!

Hello Family, Old Friends & New Friends!!
School will start in our area on July 26th, 2018. And once again we want to encourage, and help our students here in Floyd County have a smooth start to their new school year.

We want to help those students who are eligible for the federal free lunch program have a great start.
We will be collecting supplies for the students, starting on Friday, May 18th and continuing until June 29th.  We are asking for basic supplies that NO student should have to worry about having. Sadly, many children worry about either not having supplies, or putting an extra burden on the already stretched family finances, producing guilt. If you have always wanted to help those who may have less than you do, here is a great way to do so. Could you, your family & friends help? Would your work place, your church or group buy or collect school supplies for these children who are living in our own community? (list below)

How it works:

Children (K-12) on the Free Lunch program in the NAFCS School System can receive new backpacks and/or basic school supplies in late summer as they return to school. This collaboration is a southern Indiana community-wide effort that works with all area churches, businesses, entities and individuals to meet the needs of elementary and middle school students who need your help to start school with their necessary school supplies. Please contact Kitty at [email protected] to make your pledge.

*We will be giving out filled backpacks at one of our summer block parties this year!
Contact Kitty @ [email protected] if you would like to help!
Supplies are due to Hope Southern Indiana by June 29, 2018.
Thank you.
